Taken between 1970 and 1980, over 400 pages of black and white photographs document the designer – best known for his critically acclaimed solo show at MoMa NY in 1972 and his aesthetic of merging psychedelia, traditional Japanese printmaking motifs, and religious mysticism – in his day to day life, visiting shrines, galleries and printmaking.
